Judith Virginia Northup was born October 2, 1942, the fourth of 12 children to Vyron and Helen Northup. She graduated from High School in 1960 and went to college for a year or two at Bemidji State Teacher's College, before joining the carnival, where she met Franklin John Fowler (born July 18, 1938). He ran the punk rides and she ran the popcorn wagon on Jack and Hope Thompson's Carnival. Their first child, Faith Mary was born at that time. For a time, they lived at Bay City, Michigan, where the second child, Clarissa Helen was born. They moved to Puposky, Minnesota in July of 1972, and bought the old Knox place, where they still live to this day (in a newer home on the lake). Two more children were born there, Beth and Franklin, who was born at home with 6 women attending. They also had foster care for a time taking in several children for varying amounts of time, and notably two Native American brothers, who became part of the family for many years. There names were Mike and Bobby Frank. Judy worked at Anderson's Fabric in Blackduck for years, but now she works for the County driving non-licensed people around the state, and Frank drives City/County bus. All of the children live in the area, at this time. Frank and Judy Fowler's page is under construction. Check back soon.
